Pioneer Logistics Ltd was formed in April 1994 under the chairmanship of Mr Kevin Williams.

Initially the company specialised in the French market with trailers leaving from the North West of England twice a week. Gradually this built into a daily service to Paris and Northern France.

This was then used as a springboard to open other services to the major European cities and over a period of approximately two years we had regular scheduled departures to most parts of Europe. At the same time our full load department expanded and we found ourselves in the fortunate position of being able to send our vehicles all over Europe.

During the summer of 1995 we opened our Scandinavian service and this in turn led to the opening of the Eastern European service some 6 months later.

We found that we were turning away a fair amount of work from our existing clients, mainly deep sea and airfreight, so in order to accommodate their needs we opened a specialist airfreight and deep sea department in 1996 and employed staff with many years experience in key roles to run these departments.
